Modellbildung und Simulation (M&S) unterstützt umfassend und querschnittlich sämtliche Fähigkeiten der Bundeswehr und trägt somit zur Verbesserung der Fähigkeiten im gesamten Fähigkeitsprofil – Führungsfähigkeit, Nachrichtengewinnung und Aufklärung, Mobilität, Wirksamkeit im Einsatz, Unterstützung und Durchhaltefähigkeit, Überlebensfähigkeit und Schutz – maßgeblich bei.
Das Forum wird sich mit dem Sachstand, den Perspektiven und Chancen und den Realisierungsmöglichkeiten von Vorhaben und Entwicklungen befassen, die zum Fähigkeitsprofil der Bundeswehr beitragen.

Modelling and Simulation (M&S) supports all capabilitiy areas of the Bundswehr such improving the complete capability profile – Command and Control, ISR, Mobility, Weapons Effectiveness, Endurance and Support, Survivability and Protection. Beside of M&S, “Concept Development and Experimentation (CD&E)” and “Operations Research (OR)” are well established instruments in the Bundeswehr. M&S is capable by itself or in the framework of CD&E and/or OR to support the improvement of prognostic capabilities, recognize innovation potentials in an early state and make them available at calculable costs and risks for use in the realization of tasks of the Bundeswehr.
